TULE MUKAAN TEKEMÄÄN NÄYTTELYÄ! / JOIN US IN CREATING AN EXHIBITION!

Uudet porilaiset -näyttelyprojekti on tarkoitettu ihmisille, jotka ovat muuttaneet Suomeen toisesta maasta ja asuvat Porissa.

Projektissa teemme yhdessä näyttelyn. Näyttelyä suunnitellaan ja tehdään työpajoissa.

Työpajaryhmät kokoontuvat Satakunnan Museossa noin kahden viikon välein syksyllä ja keväällä.

Osallistuminen on maksutonta. Ryhmään pitää ilmoittautua etukäteen.

Työpajoissa kerrot meille esimerkiksi sinulle tärkeistä esineistä, omasta kulttuuristasi, muutosta Poriin ja elämästä Porissa.

Tutustumme myös museoon, Porin historiaan ja kaupunkiin.

Sinun ei tarvitse osata suomea hyvin. Voimme käyttää molemmissa työpajoissa suomea ja englantia.

Syksyn työpajat:

Ryhmä 1 (pääkieli suomi)

  • ke 18.11. klo 17–19: Tutustuminen
  • ke 2.12. klo 17–19: Minulle tärkeä esine
  • ke 16.12. klo 17–19: Museon esineet

Ryhmä 2 (main language english)

  • Thu 19.11. at 13–15: Introduction
  • Thu 3.12. at 13–15: My meaningful object workshop
  • Thu 17.12. at 13–15: Museum objects workshop

Keväällä työpajat jatkuvat samalla aikataululla.

Keväällä teemme yhdessä näyttelyn. Näyttelyyn tulee esineitä ja tarinoita syksyn työpajoista.

Näyttely avautuu Satakunnan Museossa huhtikuussa 2027.

Voit vaikuttaa siihen, millainen projektista tulee. Voit myös tulla mukaan järjestämään tapahtumia keväällä.

JOIN US IN CREATING AN EXHIBITION!

The New Residents of Pori exhibition project is for people living in Pori who have moved here from other countries.

In this project, we will create an exhibition together. The exhibition will be planned and produced through workshops.

The workshop groups will meet approximately every two weeks during autumn and spring at the Satakunta Museum. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.

In the workshops, we would like to hear about objects that are important to you, your cultural background, how you moved to Pori and your life in Pori. We will also get to know the museum, the history of Pori, and the city itself.

You do not need to speak fluent Finnish to participate. We can use Finnish and English in both workshops if needed.

Autumn workshops

Group 1 (main language Finnish)

  • Wed 18 November, 5–7 pm: Tutustuminen/Introduction
  • Wed 2 December, 5–7 pm: minulle tärkeä esine/My meaningful object workshop
  • Wed 16 December, 5–7 pm: museon esineet/Museum objects workshop

Group 2 (main language English)

  • Thu 19 November, 1–3 pm: Introduction
  • Thu 3 December, 1–3 pm: My meaningful object workshop
  • Thu 17 December, 1–3 pm: Museum objects workshop

In the spring, the workshops will continue on the same schedule. Then we will create an exhibition together based on the objects and stories shared in the autumn workshops. The exhibition will open at the Satakunta Museum in April 2027.

You can help shape the content of the project. If you wish, you can also take part in planning and organising events in the spring.

  • your name
  • the country you come from
  • which group you would like to join: Group 1 or Group 2

Each group has space for 15 participants. Please note that places will be filled in the order of registrations.
