Guided tours

Satakunta Museum gives guided tours of the permanent exhibition, the temporary exhibitions as well as special themed and town tours.

The Elon merkkejä – Signs of Life exhibition shows the Pori and Satakunta of past and present generations. The three exhibition floors also include various thematic parts, such as the homes and cuisine throughout the centuries and decades. 

The museum is also the location for various guided tours and events. For more information see Exhibitions and Events page. 

Booking Visits and Guided Tours 

Guided tours are booked at the museum ticket sales or from the intendant via telephone or e-mail. It is a good idea to book and plan your visit well in advance. The guided tour can be adapted for the group’s needs.

Guidance fees 

  • Guided exhibition tours on weekdays 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. 60 € in addition to the entrance fees. 
  • Guided exhibition tours on mid-week evenings 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. and on weekends 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. 120 € in addition to the entrance fees. 
  • Special guided tours / guided town tours on weekdays 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. 120 €. 
  • Special guided tours / guided town tours on mid-week evenings 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. and on weekends 150 €. 

Free entrance and guided tours 

  • educational establishments and day care centres under City of Pori administration, 
  • the Pori Art School children’s and teenagers’ groups 
  • Björneborgs svenska samskola groups 

Free entrance, guidance fee 30 € 

  • Day care groups outside of City of Pori administration

Guidance languages 

Subject to the exhibition the tours are given in Finnish, Swedish and English.
