Satakunta Museum is in Pori, on the southern bank of the river Kokemäenjoki, at Hallituskatu 11.

Entrance
Satakunta Museum is a grey building with a concrete finish. The Hallituskatu facade is one-storey high. When looking from the river, the Eteläranta facade the facade looks two or three storeys high. The building has three storeys.
There is a text Satakunnan Museo on the low stone wall in front of the museum along Hallituskatu.
There are two entrances to the museum.
The main door or the main entrance is at Hallituskatu. The Hallituskatu entrance is the most accessible.
There is a large patio in front of main entrance.
The main doors of the museum open both manually and electrically.
On the left of the main doors there is a button marked with the international blue ISA sign, which opens the electrical door.
Another button with the same sign is inside the museum, on the left side of the double doors on the right.
The manually opened doors are quite heavy.
The exterior doors have thresholds.
The doorbell is to the right of the main doors.
The right-most door to the main entrance takes you to the museum office. This is where you can find most of the museum staff, the photo archives and the library.
There is a barrier-free passage to the museum’s front patio from Hallituskatu through a separate gate.
The museum has a parking space for persons with reduced mobility on Hallituskatu in front of the museum.
The parking space is next to the ramp leading from the street, allowing barrier-free access to the museum patio and on to the museum main entrance.
The second entrance is at Eteläranta, where there is also a parking area.
From the parking area there is a footpath also to the main entrance.
The Eteläranta entrance to the museum is at the top of steep stairs, and the entrance takes you from the parking place straight to the museum café.
There is a bicycle stand in the immediate vicinity of the main entrance of the museum.
On Eteläranta there is a free parking area.
On Hallituskatu, opposite the street, there is free parking.
Charter buses can let passengers out along Hallituskatu, in front of the museum.

The information and ticket sales disk are in the museum lobby, on the left when entering through the Hallituskatu main entrance.
The cloakroom is in the museum lobby, on the left from the main entrance, next to the women’s toilet.

Exhibition rooms
Sali, the room for temporary exhibitions, is near the ticket sales desk and it is entered through the museum lobby.
The Elon merkkejä – Signs of Life permanent exhibition consists of three exhibition floors. An accessible elevator serves all floors. The entrance to the exhibition is through the lobby.
There are seats for resting in the exhibition rooms.
Photographing without flashlight is allowed in the museum exhibition facilities.
The Satakunta Museum exhibition facilities are universally accessible.

Adjacent to the museum lobby there is the Kamari room for crafts and play during the museum opening hours.
The museum also arranges guided workshops related to exhibition themes. The workshops can be adapted to groups with special needs.
In Elon merkkejä – Signs of Life exhibition there are play areas and objects that can be touched, like the Pikku-Pekkala play shop and the traffic mat and toys.
