A Thousand Years of Jewellery

25.3.–24.5.2026

The exhibition A Thousand Years of Jewellery brings together eight Finnish jewellery artists who draw inspiration from prehistoric finds from Eura. Each artist has selected a single ancient object and reinterpreted it as a contemporary jewellery series or an individual piece that speaks to the present day. The exhibition creates a unique dialogue between early history and the formal language of contemporary jewellery.

Participating artists are Eero Hintsanen, Hanna Korhonen, Elina Makkonen, Meira Rauta, Annaleena Soini, Kimmo Tulimetsä, Mari Syrén and Kaisu Tullinen. The exhibition has been curated and realised by Mari Syrén and Annaleena Soini.

The exhibition also features works from the winning jewellery series of the Jewellery of the Year 2026 award: Mari Syrén’s pieces inspired by the jewellery worn with the Mistress of Eura costume, as well as Annaleena Soini’s new works The Heart of Eura and The Birds of Luistari.
