Connection44 V – performance art from Asema44 to Satakunta

Connection44 is a collaborative performance project by performance artist Juliak, which aims to explore encounters and co-creations with 44 different artists through 44 performances created together with these artists, one by one, at Asema44.

Connection44 was inspired by the transit of Vanha linja-autoasema (now Asema44). Just like the buses stop by and people enter the space and perhaps connect to each other while awaiting the next bus to go home, Juliak wants to use Asema44’s place as a station for these performative connections.

This Connection44 performance is the 5th, and it’s co-created with artist Ondi.

The performance will explore common teams from Ondi and Juliak’s work, like ritual/ repetition, connection, and movement. This performance is part of the Passengers of Time exhibition opening, by Asema44 in the Satakunta Museum, starting at 5 PM in Asema 44 and ending at 6 PM in the museum Taavi-lava stage. Juliak and Ondi invite people to join them through this connection journey.

Ondi is a multidisciplinary, Pori-based storyteller from Kenya, exploring identity, connection, and movement as method and message through sound, words, stories, and motion.

Juliak is a Romanian Portuguese Pori-based visual/ performance artist. Juliak’s art involves a lot of experimentation, the search for connection, and aesthetic ways of sharing these experiences. It is like water that reflects when someone leans over it and transmits information fluidly and transparently through its crystals.
