Guided tours in English to Teemu Muurimäki – Quarto di Secolo – 25 Years of Bespoke Fashion

Teemu Muurimäki spent his school years in Pori, got the inspiration to work on garments from his seamstress mother, trained as a designer at the University of Art and Design Helsinki, ventured out to work in the great fashion houses and returned to Finland to create a career as one of the top designers of the country.

The pieces designed by Muurimäki are both contemporary and a part of our cultural history. For this exhibition Muurimäki has chosen a segment of the multitude of pieces that have left a mark not only on himself but also on those who have worn them. The exhibition showcases a stunning selection of dresses, from wedding gowns and Oscar gala red carpet outfits to Independence Day celebration gowns and UMK performance costumes.

Admission: Included in the entrance fee or with a Museum Card. Free for visitors under 18, students (with a student card), and members of the Friends of the Satakunta Museum (with a membership card).
