Teemu Muurimäki – Quarto di secolo – A Quarter Century of Unique Gowns

Fashion artist Teemu Muurimäki, originally from Pori, will open his first solo exhibition at the Satakunta Museum in April 2025. The exhibition celebrates Muurimäki’s 25-year career and offers a significant overview of Finnish fashion art. The exhibition is organized by the Satakunta Museum and Teemu Muurimäki.

Muurimäki, one of Finland’s most renowned fashion artists, has been designing unique gowns since the late 1990s. His creations have appeared at high-profile events such as the Finnish Independence Day Ball, the Contest for New Music, the Eurovision Song Contest, and the Cannes Film Festival. Years spent at the top of the fashion world in France, Italy, and Australia working for brands like Cymbeline Paris, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, and Carla Zampatti gave Muurimäki’s work broad international exposure. In Finland, he has designed for Marimekko and Turo, among others.

A comprehensive selection of Muurimäki’s abundant creations will bring a touch of glamour and sparkle to Pori, showcasing highlights from across his career.
