Torpedo Boat S2 – One Hundred Years Later

October 1 2025 – January 4 2026
Satakunta Museum, exhibition space Loft / Parvi
The sinking of torpedo boat S2 off the coast of Pori in 1925 is the most serious peacetime accident in the history of the Finnish Navy. In addition to the vessel’s tragic story, the exhibition explores the aftermath of the event – memories, traditions of remembrance, material heritage, and the meanings attached to commemorating the accident. The stories of eyewitnesses and contemporaries also come to light.
